Police arrest suspect linked to rape & murder of Amantle Samane

JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested the suspect linked to the rape and murder of six-year-old Amantle Samane.
On Monday, officers launched a nationwide manhunt for the alleged attacker, whom they later identified as a Mozambican national.
Samane's body was discovered in the suspect’s Orlando home after he allegedly lured the young girl to his residence, where he committed the heinous crime, leaving her lifeless body behind as he fled.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Brigadier Brenda Muridili, confirmed to EWN that the suspect had been arrested.
She said that more details would be shared by the provincial Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni at a media briefing in Eldorado Park on Thursday morning.
