United States (US) President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran threatening to destroy its power plants and bridges if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to shipping by Tuesday.
In a social media post, Trump repeated his threat to unleash “hell” but said there is still a good chance of a deal with Tehran.
Iran has dismissed the ultimatum, calling it “helpless, nervous and stupid”.
The warning comes after Trump confirmed a second crew member from a downed US fighter jet over Iran has been successfully rescued in a high-risk operation.
