Diepsloot Secondary School has recorded a 100% pass rate, with learners receiving their matric results on Tuesday 13 January 2026.
Joy and relief filled Diepsloot Secondary School on Tuesday as Matric Class of 2025 learners celebrated their achievements, with the school recording its highest pass rate since opening in 2012.
What started as a slow, quiet morning on the school premises quickly turned into tense anticipation, followed by loud screams as learners celebrated their achievements.
This was the school’s 13th matric cohort and its highest pass rate since it was founded in 2012, achieving a 100% pass rate.
Speaking to EWN, several learners said they did not anticipate achieving such high marks, especially coming from an area where they contend with adverse circumstances.
One learner praised the teachers, saying they made a significant impact in guiding learners through the pressures of matric.
“The teachers at DS3 are very, very good at their job, but they’ve also learned how to connect with learners and guide us through the emotional journey. As much as results matter, mental health also matters.”
Another pupil also expressed gratitude to his teachers.
“I’d like to say thank you very much to my teachers. I am very grateful, I’m actually short of words. My message to the Grade 12 class of 2026 is to work hard. It is possible.”
