More than 6,000 motorists driving the Hino 500s available between May 2017 and December 2024 have been called to return their vehicles to the dealership.
Head of complaints and investigations at the NCC Prudence Moilwa said, “On the one hand, we are worried about the quality of the vehicle on our roads because they raise safety concerns but on the other hand, we are happy that they are following the law by informing the National Consumer Commission as and when there are recalls so we can monitor the recalls and make sure they are closed successfully with consumers getting the necessary redress.”
