Embattled Police Minister Senzo Mchunu said that he is ready to respond to the allegations against him; however, he's still in the dark about when he will be called to testify at the Madlanga Commission.
Mchunu spoke in KwaZulu-Natal this weekend while visiting the home of the late ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa.
Mchunu, who has been placed on special leave, has been accused by witnesses at the commission of being influenced by criminal elements to disband the SAPS political killings task team.
He’s also expected to address his relationship with controversial North West businessman, Brown Mogotsi, who Mchunu has admitted to knowing.
However, African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula distanced the party from Mogotsi, saying that he was no longer a member of the organisation.
"Brown Mogotsi, in a nutshell, is not a member of the ANC. We will never take him to the disciplinary committee for anything. He must account for whatever he is accused of, with whoever in the ANC he is accused of having dealings with."
