Despite numerous water cuts and rigorous testing, residents claim the water is just not clean.
Speaking to Eyewitness News, a resident, who chose to remain anonymous, described what she saw every time she opened her tap.
"When it comes, yoh, you see all the [dirt] with naked eyes."
Another resident said while doing her laundry on Tuesday, she saw a black oily substance from the tap, despite the municipality’s “good to go” statement on the quality of water.
"I saw something like [a] black oil while handwashing my laundry."
When approached by Eyewitness News, the municipality insisted water is restored to what they termed "adequate quality".
