Hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected across the Northern and Western Cape.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an advisory, with temperatures expected to exceed 30 degrees on Monday and Tuesday.

This latest warning marks the third consecutive week of extreme heat alerts in the Western Cape.

Two weeks ago, a heatwave advisory was issued, with temperatures predicted to rise above 40 degrees, which was renewed last Monday.

Areas expected to be affected include the Cape Winelands, Overberg, the Cape metropole, parts of the West Coast interior and the Namakwa district.

Residents are urged to take necessary precautions to avoid heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
