Motorists in parts of Orange Farm are being warned of road closures and traffic disruptions this Sunday.
Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) said that the closures are to accommodate the safe cycling ride aimed at promoting non-motorised transport and road safety.
The event will run from 8am until 2pm, with around 200 cyclists expected to take part in a 28-mile ride.
Major routes, including parts of the Golden Highway as well as intersections along Milife Street, Link Road, Moyana Drive, and Palm Drive, will be affected.
"Motorists are urged to use alternative routes and follow instructions from traffic officials on site," said JMPD Spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
