Bam Adebayo scores 83 points in one game, second highest in NBA history

Miami Heat Basketball player Bam Adebayo scored a history-making 83 points in one game, the second highest in NBA history.
The 28-year-old carried the team to a 150-129 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday in Miami.
The current record is held by the late Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in a game in 1962.

Adebayo had 31 points in the first quarter, 43 by halftime, and 62 by the end of the third quarter.
He finished 20 for 43 from the field, 36 for 43 from the foul line, and seven for 22 from three-point range.
His 36 free throws and 43 attempts also set NBA records.
The record for free throws made was previously held by Chamberlain and Adrian Dantley (28), and attempted by Dwight Howard (39).
NBA legend and Olympic teammate LeBron James gave the youngster a shoutout on social media.
