Forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan has again denied being a foreign agent and says the allegations levelled against him are made by criminals.
O'Sullivan said it’s a “dishonest and false narrative” that he’s a spy who came to South Africa from England.
He was back before the parliament ad hoc committee investigating police corruption to continue his evidence.
However, the hearing ended abruptly when he walked out of the committee, claiming to be rushing for his flight.
O'Sullivan continued his evidence where he left off earlier this month by responding to questions about his past.
He told the committee that it was former President Thabo Mbeki who first mentioned that he was a foreign agent while discussing him with former commissioner Jackie Selebi.
O'Sullivan added that he’s never been part of any wrongdoing and only those who are implicated in criminal activity are accusing him.
"The people who come to these conclusions do so for criminal purposes. All the allegations that have been filed at me have come via criminals."
