Death toll ticks up in Atteridgeville hostel mass shooting

The death toll of the Atteridgeville hostel mass shooting has risen to 11, and Gauteng police are investigating the crime.
Police said the shooting occurred at around 4am at a hostel in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), 25 people were shot, 11 confirmed dead, and 14 survivors have been hospitalised.
Three minors are among those deceased, including three and 12-year-old boys, a 16-year-old female, said the police, adding that the rest of those deceased are adults.
"At least 10 people killed in Saulsville, Pretoria. More than 10 injured and have been taken to hospital," said the SAPS national spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe.
The police further said the crime happened at an illegal shebeen.
SAPS has launched a manhunt for three unknown suspects.
