Alleged crime boss Katiso "KT" Molefe and his alleged hitmen are facing 35 counts of crime, including murder and conspiracy to commit murder, which will be tried in the High Court.
On Wednesday, Molefe’s case was transferred to the High Court for trial and all his cases have been centralised.

Molefe is the alleged mastermind behind the murders of DJ Sumbody, whose real name was Oupa Sefoka, and Hector Buthulezi, who was known as DJ Vintos.
He’s also facing charges for the 2024 murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.
Molefe's co-accused, Tiego Mabusela, Michale Pule Tau and Musa Kekana, who are all in police custody, appeared alongside Molefe and will be tried with him.
But Kekana and Mabusela are also co-accused in the case against Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala, another dodgy businessman allegedly involved in the underworld.
While Matlala will make his first appearance with both men on 29 January 2026, they must also appear in the High Court with Molefe in February.
While both trials are expected to run concurrently, it’s yet to be seen how the courts will deal with Kekana and Mabusela being involved in both matters.
