Alleged Crime Intelligence agent Brown Mogotsi will only resume with his testimony before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm.
The late start has been attributed to certain discrepancies identified in Mogotsi’s statement on Tuesday.

He will be allowed to consult with his legal team in order to consider documents in the commission exhibit bundle that he has not yet been able to work through.
On Tuesday, Mogotsi fumbled and found it hard to recall pertinent information related to what was contained in his preprepared statement.
In one instance, when being questioned on a message he sent to Minister of Police Senzo Mchunu, he could not recall the details of the person he was referring to in the message sent to Mchunu.
The message to Mchunu related to a person who was allegedly awarded a R30 million contract with the South African Police Service (SAPS).
During his testimony, evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson pressed Mogotsi to provide specifics about this person.
“Sorry, but who is he?” Chaskalson asked.
“Oh, Joshias, his name was Joshias,” Mogotsi answered.
Chaskalson asked, “Joshias, is that his first name, his surname?”
“I can’t remember his surname. We were just interacting, and he said he has a contract with SAPS for R30 million. The same applies to him; we ended up not meeting,” Mogotsi responded.
Additional time will be afforded to Mogotsi in the morning to go through the evidence bundle and adequately prepare before resuming his testimony at 2 pm.
