Various versions of alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack's name were used as evidence in court on Monday to show he was behind the attempted murder of prominent defence attorney William Booth.
Modack and five co-accused face charges of attempted murder after Booth survived a shooting at his Higgovale home five years ago.
Modack admitted that he was hired to do a debt collection from one of Booth's clients but denies being behind the incident.

Evidence shows co-accused Zane Kilian used various versions of Modack's name as references when he sent information about Booth, allegedly to Modack.
It's the State's case that Modack paid Kilian to ping the whereabouts of Booth to plan an attempt on his life in April 2020.
State prosecutor Greg Wolmarans showed the court how Kilian used "Mo", "Nafiz 3", "Naf" and other references allegedly for Modack.
"I'm going to argue you are linked with the reference 'bo boss boss.'"
Modack denied receiving any information about Booth from Kilian.
"I can't answer that, my lord. It wasn't me, my lord."
Modack will be back in the dock on Tuesday.
