The trial of uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party Member of Parliament (MP) Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has entered its second and final week.
Zuma-Sambudla is accused of inciting terror and public violence linked to the July 2021 unrest.
A certified fraud examiner, Sarah-Jane Trent, is back on the witness stand on Monday to continue her testimony.
Trent, who is also the complainant in the matter, was on the stand last week, but proceedings were adjourned for two days to allow for consultation.
Trent is now continuing her testimony, detailing how Zuma-Sambudla allegedly used her social media account to incite the 2021 July riots.
She is taking the court through the accused's social media posts, referring to several screenshots as evidence.
The witness has testified that Zuma-Sambudla's Twitter account held significant influence, noting that at the time of her alleged inciting tweets, the accused had over 120,000 followers. Trent also made reference to a video visible in one of the comment sections of the posts, which shows an armed person.
