On Saturday, Moyo was confronted by police while with two other suspects. The suspects opened fire, and when police retaliated, one suspect was killed, another was arrested, while Moyo made his escape.

Before this second escape, the Acting Police Minister had offered a cash reward of R150,000 for any information on his whereabouts.
