A criminologist believes there's enough evidence to show alleged underworld gang boss, Nafiz Modack, is guilty of running a criminal enterprise.

Modack will be back in the Western Cape High Court on Monday after a six-month recess.

He faces 122 charges for various crimes, including the murder of top cop, Charl Kinnear.

Modack was recently handed a ten-year prison sentence after being found guilty of colluding with the former station commander of Cape Town Police Station, Brigadier Kolindren Govender.

Criminologist, Simon Howell, said the verdict showed clear links to an infiltration of SAPS senior management.

"The trial has revealed that it's not just hearsay, that there are significant links between individuals within SAPS and individuals outside of SAPS in organised criminal networks."

Modack will be back in the dock on Monday to be cross-examined on a range of charges, including murder, fraud, extortion and money laundering.
