The league is calling for an immediate solution to the unemployment crisis and an inclusive economy that offers opportunities to young people.

Its president, Collen Malatji, presented their list of demands outside the JSE headquarters, where they protested for economic reform on Friday.
Thousands joined the ANCYL’s march from the inner city of Johannesburg to the JSE offices in Sandton.
Singing struggle songs along the streets of Johannesburg, over 20,000 ANCYL supporters embarked on a 20km march from the inner city of Johannesburg to Sandton.
Top of their minds is an inclusive economy that will allow them to participate in the country’s economy.
Tenyani Lekaota, an unemployed ANCYL supporter, said the JSE should lend a hand to economically inactive youth.
“Let Johannesburg Stock Exchange companies invest more in the skills that young people have. We are really skilled. It's just that they have no interest in investing in us. So, we are here to urge them to invest in us.”
The Department of Labour and Employment has committed to responding to the ANYL’s demands.
