Steve Komphela returns to Sundowns as senior coach

CAPE TOWN - Mamelodi Sundowns have appointed Steve Komphela as a senior coach ahead of the start of the 2024/2025 campaign.
The move comes just a few days after the club parted ways with head coach Rhulani Mokwena.
Sundowns said that Komphela would serve as "senior coach and will assist Manqoba Mngqithi and the technical team.
Komphela, who returns to Sundowns after leaving Golden Arrows, said that he was excited to be back at the club.
"I am very excited to be back at Mamelodi Sundowns where I was always inspired and treated with respect and love. I am committed to contributing to the club achieving its goals in South Africa and on the African continent."
Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing to head to Austria in the next few days as part of the club's pre-season preparations.
