Man shot dead in parking lot at Cape Town shopping centre

A 54-year-old man was shot and killed at a parking lot inside a shopping centre on Klipfontein Road in Rondebosch on Thursday.

Cape Town police said they responded to a shooting incident just before 2pm.

Police spokesperson Ndakhe Gwala said the man was shot multiple times inside his car.

"He was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined. Anyone with information is kindly requested to call Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or utilise the MySAPS app."
