A 10-month-old baby is among the dead in northern Germany, where tragedy struck during an Easter egg hunt.
About 50 people from a state-funded facility for pregnant women, new mothers and children were in the woods near Satrupholm on Sunday.
"Unfortunately, this area had been hit by a bad storm, and the winds had weakened the trees. So during the egg hunt, an enormous tree fell on the people below," said foreign correspondent Adam Gilchirst.
The baby and her 21-year-old mother died, as well as a 16-year-old girl. Another young woman was seriously injured.
"The whole thing just turned from a joyous, spring, Easter sunshine and laughter into an absolute, out-of-the-blue tragedy. Who could've foreseen it?
"Maybe I guess sometimes when there are bad storms we just take it for granted that we'll be OK, rather than checking structures and trees," said Gilchrist.
