Twenty-five undocumented foreign nationals have been arrested, attempting to illegally cross into South Africa from Zimbabwe, at the Beitbridge border post in Limpopo.
The Border Management Authority (BMA) confirmed the arrests as ongoing operations to crack down on illegal border crossings continue.
Head of the BMA, Michael Masiapato, said the arrests were made possible through the use of drone technology.
"We were able to see them as they were crossing the Limpopo River, being assisted by some facilitators through a boat, and they entered into no man's land. Immediately when they entered South African soil, we were able to bust them, and we effectively got them arrested."
