President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to address the nation tonight following the country’s G20 presidency and leaders' summit.
South Africa hosted leaders of some of the world’s most powerful economies in Johannesburg last week.
The country has handed over the G20 presidency to the United States amid turbulent relations with the world superpower.
The G20 Summit in South Africa has been declared a success by the presidency and many world leaders who were in attendance.

This despite US President Donald Trump boycotting the event and trying to deter those who attended from signing the declaration.
Since the event, South Africa has handed over the G20 Presidency to a US official, deviating from the practice of a president handing over to another.
This was after Trump commissioned an embassy official considered to be junior in rank for the handover.
Trump has also since threatened to exclude South Africa from the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act, a bill that the Senate must now decide on.
