Gauteng Department of Education’s Johannesburg West District aims to obtain more than 60% in bachelor's pass.
The district was identified as the best-performing region in the country last year, after reaching a pass rate of 97%.

District director Lehlohonolo Ramokhose said the 2025 class is determined to score a higher rate than last year.
He added that they’ve put in place the necessary measures to ensure learners continue to perform well.
“To succeed because we must prepare them for their future and their adult life. We have prepared our principals, we have prepared our teachers, we have motivated our learners, we've protected teaching time, we've given them extra classes, we have checked for understanding for every subject, every topic, every subtopic. “
