The investigating officer in the murder case of Vereeniging engineer, Armand Swart, is the next witness set to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Witness B will begin with their testimony on Wednesday morning, following two days of testimony by Witness A.
The witnesses, including the one set to testify after Witness B, are being heard partially in-camera, with their voices being broadcast live but their faces concealed.
On Tuesday, Witness A, a detective of the Gauteng organised crime, concluded his testimony.
Witness A concluded his testimony on Tuesday afternoon with a heartfelt message to South Africans.
"If change does not happen and it doesn’t happen soon, we are doomed as a nation. I hope that my evidence before this commission in the face of real and present danger to my life will contribute to a changed police service or, at the very least, the beginning of a positive change to the police service or the country as a whole."
During his two-day testimony, Witness A highlighted some of the push-back the investigating team in the Armand Swart murder case faced as one of the accused, Michael Pule Tau, was a cop and the other, Katiso "KT" Molefe, a businessman with alleged links to senior police officials.
