DJ Warras funeral service set to take place in Rosebank

The funeral service of media personality Warrick Stock, commonly known as DJ Warras, will take place today in Rosebank, north of Johannesburg.

Stock was shot and killed on 16 December in Johannesburg CBD, near the Carlton Centre.

He was exiting Zambesi House, a previously hijacked building where he was contracted to manage security, when the shooting occurred.

Colleagues of DJ Warras still grappling with his sudden death

His memorial service was held last Friday, with many colleagues and friends expressing their struggle to come to terms with his sudden death.

At the time of the murder, CCTV footage showed three people acting suspiciously in the lead-up to the incident.

On Monday, Gauteng police took two persons of interest in for questioning. Both were subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

“The two persons of interest who were brought in for questioning during the early hours of 22 December 2025 have been detained and will be charged with the murder of DJ Warras.”
