The basic education and the employment and labour departments are set to announce the resolution of delayed payments affecting teaching assistants.
The institutions will hold a joint press briefing on Wednesday to confirm that government has found a way forward, following engagements in the past week.
Thousands of teachers and general assistants across the country have been waiting for their September stipends, which have been delayed due to administrative and verification issues with documentation.
According to the departments, the announcement will outline how government plans to release the outstanding payments and ensure that similar situations are avoided in future.
Spokesperson Terence Khala said: "This follows an urgent meeting held between the departments as well as the key role players to find a resolution to the matter, making an important announcement on the release of payments."
