Some Kempton Park residents in Ekurhuleni will have to prepare to be without power for six hours next week.
The City of Ekurhuleni has planned a power outage to carry out maintenance work at the Kempton Park substation on Tuesday next week.
The city said the power supply interruption would affect both industrial and residential areas.
City spokesperson Zweli Dlamini: "Areas that will be affected is the Isando industrial area, as well as Rhodesfield. We do apologise for the inconvenience this will cause for the six hours that the work will be undertaken but we do believe that this is critical work that must be done or carried out to ensure quality and sustainable power supply in these areas."
