SANTACO to launch its Transport Month campaign at Smarter Africa Mobility Conference

The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) is set to launch its 2025 October Transport Month campaign at the Smarter Africa Mobility conference on Wednesday.

The campaign will run under the theme "Striving for Safety, Service, and Embracing Technology".

SANTACO spokesperson Mmatshikidi Rebecca Phala said this initiative aims to improve services and safety for commuters in the country. 

She adds that the council will be engaged in addressing the myriad of issues that affect commuters.

"We are striving for safer journeys, better service, and smarter ways of doing business. This is a journey of fixing, building, and improving step by step together with our commuters and operators,” said President Tsebe. SANTACO remains committed to walking this journey with all stakeholders, ensuring that the taxi industry continues to play a central role in the transport ecosystem, while embracing innovation and safeguarding commuter trust."
