JOHANNESBURG - Maponya Mall management in Soweto has reassured public transport providers that they can all operate in their facilities.

This comes after 27-year-old e-hailing driver, Mthokozisi Mvelase, was shot and killed outside the shopping centre before his and another car was torched last week.

Some community members have blamed taxi operators for the attack.

Speaking at a media briefing in Soweto on Monday, Maponya Mall's Joe Morobe said they're engaging all stakeholders.

"We still say all transport services that are offered are allowed within the mall. And the main thing, it has always been, we need to make sure that we comply with the rules, and I think the regulations of the country as well."
