DURBAN - The murder case of rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and businessman Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane will return to the Durban Magistrates Court for a pre-trial hearing on Thursday morning.
Five men stand accused of the high-profile murder in the Durban High Court.
Two others, the alleged shooters, are still in custody in Eswatini.
Forbes and Motsoane were killed on Durban's Florida Road in February 2023 when hitmen targeted Forbes.
During the pre-trial hearing, lawyers for the accused will be allowed to raise any issues they have with the state's case and any evidence it has presented so far.
But State prosecutors Adv Elvis Gcweka and Adv Lawrence Gcaba have previously informed the court that they are ready for trial.
The State is relying on cellphone records, CCTV footage, and bank records to prove its case.
The group of suspects include the alleged spotters, the hit coordinator, and a person linked to firearms and getaway vehicles used in the attack.
A trial date is also expected to be set.
