Kamogelo Baukudi kidnapping: Police sergeant appearing in court for bail hearing

JOHANNESBURG - A police sergeant linked to the kidnapping of 19-year-old Kamogelo Baukudi will appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court later this week for a bail hearing.
Earlier in June, the teen was allegedly abducted by two men who posed as police officers.

Forty-two-year-old Nzima Adoons was arrested for the crime and appeared before the court, where his matter was postponed to 3 July.
His five co-accused in the matter were released on Monday due to a lack of evidence linking them to the crime.
“The bail application of the accused in the Kamogelo Baukudi's kidnapping in Bloemfontein has been postponed to the 3rd of July for further bail.
"The accused is remanded in custody. He's facing charges of kidnapping as well as extortion,” said Free State National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Mojalefa Senokoatsane.
