Police expect to make breakthrough soon in murder of IFP MP Khethamabala Sithole

JOHANNESBURG - Police expect to make a breakthrough soon in the murder of IFP member of Parliament, Khethamabala Sithole.
National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said they knew who they were looking for.
Sithole, who served as the deputy chief whip of the IFP, was killed in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni last week.
His party believes he was targeted in an assassination.

On Monday night, the investigating team briefed Masemola on the progress made in tracking down the alleged killer.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said that Masemola was satisfied with the evidence gathered thus far.
"He says we know who we are looking for, it’s just a matter of time before we effect an arrest. Our crime intelligence operatives and seasoned detectives are on the ground actively searching for this suspect. We also urge this suspect to hand himself over to his nearest police station," Mathe said.
