JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 2 warning for damaging winds and waves along parts of the Western Cape coastline.
Forecasters said scattered showers are expected, mainly along the south-west coast with conditions set to worsen into the weekend.
The wet weather is expected to spread to other parts of the country from Sunday, affecting areas in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.
Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela said the unsettled weather could continue into the new week…
"In our weather for today, isolated to a scattered chance of rain and showers expected over the western cape, with scattered showers and rain into the afternoon expected mainly over the southwest coast. Damaging winds and waves are expected along the west coast into the south coast of the country which may result in some navigation at sea to be difficult," said Thobela.
