Worcester police probing murder of popular drag queen

CAPE TOWN - Worcester police are investigating the murder of controversial, popular drag queen and so-called whistleblower, Sylvano Hendricks, who goes by the moniker, Queeny Madikizela Malema.
The 44-year-old was shot and killed while sitting in the passenger seat of a car in Riverview on Monday.
The driver of the vehicle was wounded in the shoulder.
The police's Frederick Van Wyk: "According to our reports, the deceased and the victim were at the mentioned address to pick up someone with a grey BMW X3. While they were sitting in the vehicle, an unidentified person fired several shots at the person on the passenger side and the driver quickly drove off with the vehicle to a nearby hospital. On arrival at hospital, the 44-year-old passenger was already deceased."
No arrests have yet been made.
The motive for Monday night's shooting is still unclear.
