JOHANNESBURG - Former Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture Zizi Kodwa will on Thursday find out whether his fraud and corruption charges will be dropped.

During his time as the African National Congress (ANC)’s spokesperson, Kodwa allegedly accepted bribes amounting to nearly R1.7 million from his co-accused.
It is alleged that Mackay, who was an executive at tech company EOH at the time, wanted Kodwa to influence government contracts in his favour.
On 21 August, Mackay submitted an application to have his fraud and corruption charges dismissed.
However, the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court declined to consider his request.
Mackay then escalated the matter to the Director of Public Prosecutions, hoping for a favourable outcome.
Kodwa initially showed no intention of making such an application, stating he was ready to prove his innocence.
However, on 3 October, Kodwa changed his mind and also filed a request to have his charges dropped.
The pair will find out on Thursday whether their applications were successful.
