Trevor Manuel hails 'remarkable relationship' with 'brother' Tito Mboweni
Mboweni's family announced his passing over the weekend, three years since quitting cabinet.

CAPE TOWN - Tributes continue to stream in for former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni.
Mboweni's family announced his passing over the weekend, three years since quitting cabinet.

He was South Africa's first labour minister and eighth reserve bank governor.
His former colleague and friend, Trevor Manuel has paid tribute.
"Tito was a colleague, minister. He was a brother and it was a remarkable relationship, it was like that over 35 years. It's been a truly incredible relationship. Through it all there was a lot of deep intellectual discussions, but also a lot of banter, " said Manuel.
