We saw it happen with Oasis and Taylor Swift, and now Coldplay tickets are seeing a massive surge problem.

If you have a spare R183 000 lying around, you could score a ticket to see the British band live in India.

Coldplay is set to perform three shows in Mumbai next year and over 180 000 tickets sold out in minutes.

Due to the high demand, tickets originally sold for 2500 to 12 000 rupees (R500 to R2500) are up for resale for five times the price.

Some tickets even reach 900 000 rupees (about R183 000).

“So currently, if you have a Coldplay ticket in Mumbai… You could hang onto it or perhaps buy a car or a luxury around-the-world trip.”
