JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg will have a new mayor by the end of the week.

"Comrade Dada is a very senior comrade in the Johannesburg REC. He's also very experienced, and I can assure you the investors, business people, and all the stakeholders in Johannesburg will definitely have a feel that we're now led by a very experienced person."
ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba has also endorsed Morero's nomination.
"We have committed to giving them unconditional support, holding one another accountable to ensure that we put the residents ahead of our own political feelings and personal feelings," Mashaba said.
Meanwhile, Democratic Alliance Johannesburg caucus leader, Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku said she hoped there would be stability in the metro going forward.
"It is a concern for us, we don't have any preference, we have not had any discussions, and that is why we just note this, and we will see what happens."
