JOHANNESBURG - Members of the Incredible Happenings church have come out in support of their controversial pastor – Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng – saying the setting alight of his church resembles the resurrection.
The church in Katlehong on the East Rand was torched allegedly by high school children – following Mboro’s storming of a local primary school with machetes.
It’s understood the pastor entered Matsediso Primary School on Monday, to forcefully remove his grandchildren after his son was denied access.
Five people have been arrested in connection with the incident and will appear at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Church members have tried to salvage remnants of what was their place of worship – but most of the church’s equipment has been destroyed.
One woman sang cheerfully as the church went up in flames, saying what happened here did not worry her.
“Our prophet has had prophesied that this would happen. He told us that he wants to start anew, the same way Jesus said he is the way and resurrection. Our father taught us that you rise. We are not fazed by this, it’s the resurrection.”
At the same time, another popular pastor - Bishop Israel Makamu - visited the Incredible Happenings church to support his brother and friend.
Makamu and the members of prophet Motsoeneng’s church have refused to comment on Mboro’s actions at the Matshediso Primary School on Monday.
