JOHANNESBURG - Former Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa is scheduled to make his second appearance before the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
Kodwa was arrested over state capture-related corruption charges in June and subsequently released on R30,000 bail.

He’s accused of receiving more than R1.6 million in kickbacks from his co-accused and former EOH boss Jehan Mackay in return for government contracts.
The Commission of Inquiry Into Allegations of State Capture recommended law enforcement authorities act against the African National Congress (ANC) member of Parliament (MP) for his alleged influence in the procurement of government contracts.
But Kodwa maintained his innocence during his bail application in June, outlining in his affidavit that the money he received from Mackay was a loan and not a bribe.
However, the State’s charge sheet suggests Kodwa received multiple payments from Mackay between 2015 and 2016 and funded his luxurious holidays.
While Kodwa has already been granted bail, Tuesday’s appearance will finalise pretrial processes and present the contents of the docket to the defence.
