CT police arrest 3 suspects in possession of drugs worth more than R400,000

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police have arrested three suspects after they were found in possession of drugs to the value of over R400,000.
Police said their Rapid Rail Unit was conducting a patrol in the Maitland area when they searched a house at Norfolk Street and discovered a large consignment of drugs on Thursday.
The unit received a tip-off about a vehicle that regularly stops at the house and drops a suspicious package.
"The members immediately operationalised the information and approached the house in question and conducted a search. During the search, police discovered a huge consignment of drugs consisting of pink and white ecstasy tablets, Boss mandrax tablets and five transparent bags containing presumed cocaine with an estimated street value of R426,000," said SAPS spokesperson, FC Van Wyk.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Monday.
