Police arrest woman in Eerste River for illegal possession of firearm, ammunition

CAPE TOWN - Police have arrested a woman in Eerste River for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Officers were deployed to the Kleinvlei policing precinct this week to quell gang-related activities in the area.

Wednesday's arrest was made during one of their intelligence-driven operations.
"Information led the team to a premises situated in Parana Crescent, Forest Village, Eersterivier, where they ensued with a search of the premises,” said the police's Malcolm Pojie.
“The members discovered a Taurus 357 revolver and 26.22 rounds of ammunition. As a result of the discovery, the members arrested a 34-year-old woman."
