CAPE TOWN - International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor has cast her vote at Rosebank Junior School, where she insisted on joining the queue just like any other ordinary citizen.
Pandor joined hundreds of other voters from the surrounding area who braced a chilly Wednesday morning to make their mark at the voting station.
Pandor, who’s been instrumental in South Africa’s International Court of Justice case against Israel, lauded the African National Congress (ANC) for its voting campaign.
"I think that the ANC has run a very good campaign addressing all communities."
Pandor said it's also been a delight to see South Africa's interest in the cause of the Palestinian people.
"It is clear that South Africans have a very, very deep sense of the need for all human beings to enjoy freedom and democracy."
Pandor said it's been a revelation to see support for Palestine from across all communities and classes in South Africa.
