CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) has called on supporters to vote for the party and kick the African National Congress (ANC) out of national government come May 29.
The party commemorated Workers Day at the Lentegeur in Cape Town on Wednesday.
The day marks the role labour movements played in the struggle against apartheid.

A sea of blue and white filled the Lentegeur Civic Centre in Mitchell's Plain, where scores of DA supporters gathered to commemorate a day of mobilisation to improve labourers' working conditions.
Worker's Day also serves as a reminder of workers' rights and the call to protect them from exploitation.
The DA's Siviwe Gwarube told supporters that under the ANC, the government had failed to create jobs for many South Africans.
"Democrates as we see, there are 30 million South Africans who are living in poverty. Tonight, there will be people who will skip a meal because they are trying to survive."
Gwarube said South Africa would be better off without the ANC in power.
