Woman due in Bellville court on charges of fraud

A 51-year-old woman is due in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Tuesday on charges of fraud.

She was re-arrested on Friday after allegedly being on the run since February 2024.

Nicolene Gouvias is accused of fraud amounting to more than R160,000 through liquor licence applications.

Hawks spokesperson Siyabulela Vukubi said Gouvias is also being investigating by Western Cape police.

"She is also linked to other cases that are currently under investigation by the South African Police Service. Gouvias will appear at the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crimes Court."
