Suspended Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has denied receiving Impalas and Antelopes as gifts from alleged crime kingpin Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.
Sibiya is facing allegations before the Madlanga Commission on how he had the antelopes delivered to his smallholding by Matlala.
Commissioner Sesi Baloyi reminded Sibiya about the offer from Matlala and how the transfer of the antelopes was handled.
"You now no longer have Antelopes, and Mr Matlala offers to get Blesboks for you, and Mr. van der Merwe says they will be delivered, and Mr Matlala says to him, check your account, which means payment has gone through, which means they have been delivered."
But Sibiya denied receiving any such gifts because he also understood that Matlala was a police service provider at the time.
Sibiya also said he never wanted any impalas because they are expensive to maintain.
"There's a bottom line that I just want to say to the chairperson and to the commissioners. I never received any Impalas or any bucks from Matlala and have them delivered to my place. "
