Western Cape police have condemned the shooting incident that claimed the lives of three young people in Samora Machel over the weekend.
On Saturday, an unknown gunman opened fire on the victims who were sitting in a vehicle on Oliver Tambo Drive.
The victims, aged between 16 and 21, died at the scene.
A 19-year-old was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut said that the motive for the attack is still unknown.
"Serious and Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating a shooting incident, following up on all available leads to determine the motive and identify the suspects.”
