UPDATE: The 47-year-old male driver passed away on Monday morning.

Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a car crash caused the closure of Chapman's Peak Drive on Sunday.
The vehicle, believed to be a Golf GTI, crashed onto the rocks below.
Primedia Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman says she was in the area and heard the sirens.
"From what you can see of the wreck, they went over the Chapman's Peak edge and plummeted to the rocks below, far below, like literally just at the water's edge. That is a drop and a half. And the fact that these two people in the car survived is absolutely miraculous."
One of the occupants managed to get out of the vehicle and was treated at the scene.
"I saw updates in the morning saying that the other one was trapped and that they were trying to get him out of the car. He was eventually helicopter-airlifted to a hospital," says Friedman.
While the circumstances surrounding the accident are not clear at this stage, she says she'd like to see what transpires from the investigation.
"There is a history there of these cars speeding through, down Silvermine Rd, then up onto Chappies, and they drive like it's a racing track."
