The testimony of Cedric Nkabinde, Chief of Staff to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, has been cut short in Parliament.
This comes as MPs seek legal advice on how to deal with contradictory statements he made during his time in the hot seat today.
Nkabinde has been accused of lying about his relationship with controversial businessman Brown Mokgotsi.
Today marked day one of his testimony before Parliament’s ad hoc committee looking into allegations of police corruption.
Earlier, he told MPs that he is close friends with KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and that they have even traveled together on personal errands.
